Bene De Silva

For me, music has been an intricate part of my life.  Growing up in Brazil I listened to my Dad singing everyday at home and also to my oldest brother who is a great guitar player and singer. It was by watching my brother that I learned how to play the guitar by ear and started playing Brazilian music at first. At the age of 13, I started playing songs by the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Chick Corea (Return To Forever) , Yes, and other Progressive Rock.

Even though both my Dad and brother were great singers, I never ventured into singing until recently.

In short, for me, music is the rhythm of life, it is where I feel connected with the best of our humanity, as music can be the instrument of Peace that we can share with each other and the World.
